By visualizing epigenetic regulatory protein binding to chromatin using BiFC analysis, we found that different polycomb repressive complex subunits bind to different chromosomal regions independently of histone modifications (Vincenz, 2008).

By measuring the kinetics and distributions of Polycomb Group proteins in embryonic stem cells and in differentiating cells, we identified changes in the dynamics of epigenetic regulatory proteins in response to differentiation (Ren, 2008).
