Kerppola Lab Research Interests

The Kerppola lab has a broad range of research interests encompassing the roles of macromolecular interactions and modifications in the specificity of biological regulatory pathways.  Many of our studies seek to develop new treatments for human afflictions, including cancers, cardiovascular diseases and immunological dysfunctions.  In our studies, we use a variety of experimental systems, including in vitro assays, cultured cells, Drosophila, rodents and other animals.  To address questions for which existing methods have not provided satisfactory answers, we develop new methods that open new opportunities for investigation.
